The office furniture industry is one of the sectors most affected by the shift towards sustainability. It was against this backdrop that Morning launched its own furniture range in 2020.
When the project began, our furniture designers had a clear vision: to create pieces that combine function and aesthetics for workspaces. Faced with the climate emergency, a third challenge naturally imposed itself: to drastically reduce the carbon footprint, from design through to delivery.
The results of an initial life-cycle assessment (LCA) in 2021 were eye-opening. To keep control of the environmental impact of its products, Morning made a bold decision: to bring manufacturing in-house. Today, every prototype is meticulously assessed using ADEME’s tools even before it goes into production. This approach makes it possible to optimise the carbon impact of our pieces right from the design stage.
Since 2024, the Morning team has been built around furniture designers Julian Langevin and Manon Gavalda. Romane Gaultier has joined the adventure as eco-design project manager. Her mission? To support Julian and Manon in exploring the many facets of eco-design: from the choice of materials to their recyclability, by way of optimising resources.

#1: The Trocadéro desk.
Lightweight, dismountable, repairable and connected
The desk is the flagship of our eco-designed furniture range. After a first version produced by our furniture designers and cabinetmakers in 2020, the Morning teams carried out a life-cycle assessment of the desk. After extensive research, the teams dedicated to eco-design optimised the prototype and produced new versions of the model.
The latest version has a carbon footprint 24% lower than its predecessor. It is also 20% lighter thanks to the optimised quantity of steel used, which has been halved on the rack holding the power strip in particular. That steel is, moreover, 100% French.
The parts of the eco-designed desk can be dismantled endlessly. The components are independently repairable and reusable. The desk is made and assembled in Brittany and the materials are sourced in Europe (France and Poland).
#2: The Toudic lockers.
Modular, accessible and responsible
The Toudic lockers represent a major step forward in our approach to responsible furniture. Designed specifically to meet the needs of our external clients, these lockers combine affordability with a strong social commitment. These pieces are made in the north of France by a supported-employment company, creating job opportunities for people with disabilities.
The choice of materials reflects our environmental commitment, with the exclusive use of FSC- and PEFC-certified wood, guaranteeing the sustainable management of forest resources. The locker is designed to minimise production offcuts, achieving a waste rate of less than 5%. The modular system of the Toudic lockers allows them to adapt perfectly to the specific needs of each space, while ensuring easy maintenance thanks to fully repairable modules.
#3: The Mogador table.
Versatile, adaptable and connected
The Mogador table is designed for meeting spaces, with a simple top and a French steel frame. It can seat 6 to 12 people and features a built-in power system to easily plug in laptops and other devices. Made in Brittany, it is built to last, since its components can be replaced or repaired individually. Its configuration adjusts easily to suit different workspaces.
#4: The Trocadéro table.
Sturdy, adaptable and durable
The Trocadéro table redefines the standards of eco-designed meeting furniture. Its clean design conceals a technical feat: the use of materials sourced exclusively in France, processed using methods optimised to minimise offcuts and energy consumption. The top, made of certified wood from sustainably managed forests, sits on a metal frame built to last.
The design of the Trocadéro table allows for a variety of configurations while ensuring simplified maintenance. Each component can be replaced or repaired individually, fitting perfectly into our circular-economy approach.
#5: The Beaurepaire table.
Spacious, sturdy and modular
The Beaurepaire table brings together fine materials and technical innovation. Its solid oak legs and rails support an oak-veneered chipboard sub-top, crowned with a top made of recycled materials in the finish of your choice.
Designed for collaborative spaces, it comes in two versions: the first comfortably seats 8 to 10 people; the second can bring together up to 15 people around a single work surface. Every element is designed to make maintenance easier and to ensure a long service life.
#6: The Galerie table.
In French solid wood, customisable and connected
Only two materials (sourced in France) make up this piece: glass for the top and solid oak for the legs and the structure of the top. This oak is sourced from sustainably managed French forests (PEFC & FSC labels). The quantities of materials used are optimised to limit the carbon impact.
Every part of the Galerie table is independently repairable and reusable. It can easily be dismantled and repaired. The Galerie table is made and assembled in Brittany; its French manufacture helps to limit the carbon footprint of its transport.
The decorative elements placed under the glass make it possible to personalise the piece and give it different lives. “Users will also be able to make it their own and evolve the table to suit their tastes, over the years”, Julian tells us.
