Climate House: at the heart of Paris, a home to accelerate the transition

At the heart of the Sentier district, Climate House comes to life in a landmark building on rue du Caire. Morning took charge of rolling out the identity and the fit-out of this one-of-a-kind project, opened in October 2024. Across 2000 m² spread over 8 floors, this venue reinvents the conventions of responsible fit-out. More than a mere workspace, Climate House sets out to be a genuine catalyst for the ecological transition, where every detail has been designed to combine professional performance with environmental commitment.

A committed community in an inspiring setting

Climate House plays with the standards of the traditional workspace by drawing inspiration from a familiar place: the home. From the ground floor, this philosophy takes on its full meaning. A warm lounge, dotted with intimate alcoves, naturally invites informal exchanges. The shared kitchen becomes the gathering point for occupants, while the winter garden offers a leafy interlude conducive to reflection.

This unique configuration brings together a community as diverse as it is committed. Innovative startups rub shoulders here with teams from major groups, while scientists, investment funds and associations combine their expertise. All share the same goal: to accelerate the ecological and social transition of our economy.

Responsible innovation, day to day

Climate House's environmental commitment takes shape through bold fit-out choices. The existing Morning furniture finds a second life here, offering a tangible illustration of the principles of the circular economy. (Read also: Pro furniture hire: an easy, accessible solution)

Each of the new elements tells a story of innovation: high stools crafted from brewer's yeast sit alongside light fittings that give new life to old fishing floats from the French and Spanish coasts.
Creativity is tucked away even in the most surprising details. The signage, made entirely from coffee grounds, shows that an everyday waste product can become a design element in its own right. The reception counter, the centrepiece of the ground floor, incorporates marine sediment into its composition, testifying to the endless possibilities of alternative materials.

Energy performance is not left behind either. Working with Agrid and Lite, two startups that came through the Morning Accelerator, the space benefits from optimised, real-time energy management. The 100% green electricity supply is accompanied by an ambitious programme to replace the windows, gradually improving the building's thermal performance.

A living ecosystem

Climate House welcomes 300 people across 200 workstations, in a configuration that prioritises flexibility and interaction. The 15 meeting rooms and 16 phone boxes meet occupants' operational needs, while the ground-floor terrace and the balcony on the fourth floor offer precious breathing spaces.

The fit-out was designed as an evolving project, in which the first occupants play an essential role in defining how the spaces are used. Every piece of feedback helps to fine-tune how the spaces and services work, making Climate House a genuine living laboratory for the responsible workspace.

A project in constant evolution

Located at 39 rue du Caire, in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, Climate House embodies a committed vision of the professional space. The project continues to be enriched by the interactions between its occupants and by innovations in sustainable fit-out. Each day brings its share of lessons and helps to refine this experience of a more responsible workspace.
