Morning creates fully equipped shared workspaces. Beyond simply providing workstations, our aim is to turn them into genuine networks for sharing, where the occupants spark interactions. Day to day, informal exchanges are prompted by our space managers to forge connections between occupants. Alongside this, talks and events are organised to enrich the quality of what is shared. So many opportunities to nurture dialogue and bring together a community of nearly 10,000 people.
Informal exchanges,
to forge connections day to day
Within the spaces, the connections created are not confined to the professional sphere. To bring about this sharing, space managers and baristas work hard to spark informal exchanges.
Morning managers and baristas, creators of interactions
Beyond the administrative and operational running of the spaces, Morning managers spark interactions between the various occupants. For Adélaïde Vaillant, who manages the Trocadéro and Boissière spaces, listening is paramount. “I take the time to gauge my members' needs over a coffee, and I always look to connect them with one another according to what they are after. These regular contacts make it possible to share moments beyond the professional setting”.

In the fifteen or so spaces offering the coffee bar service, the baristas keep up daily contact with the occupants. M'massira Suma is a barista at the coffee bar of Morning Levallois. “To build relationships, I start by remembering faces, then first names. By paying attention to their habits and preferences, I create contact, and then closeness”, she points out. “The everyday conversations have inspired me a great deal, both professionally and personally. At Mutt - members at Levallois -, several team members spent a few years in Australia. Talking with them, I got my plan for a year in Australia back on track, having put it on hold until then”.

Activities put on to break the routine
Morning managers are free to organise gatherings to bring their community to life. For Adélaïde, bringing members together is essential. “I organise breakfasts and afterworks so that members can meet in a more spontaneous way”.
These gatherings can take a professional or a more social form. As Adélaïde points out: “On 25 November 2021, I organised a wine tasting at the Boissière space. After the event, a member from Capgemini engineering put High Noon - members at Boissière who specialise in audiovisual production - in touch with the communications director. That connection went on to lead to a concrete partnership”.
Adélaïde mentions another example:“Last summer, Studio L&T - members of the Montsouris space who specialise in graphic design - exhibited their work. We organised a private-view afterwork on the terrace of the Montsouris space, to bring members together around a more artistic theme. Nearly thirty people came along!”.

Regular talks,
to enrich the quality of what is shared
Beyond the everyday exchanges, gatherings between members - common to all the spaces - are established. The aim is to break the routine, while nurturing sharing within the community.
Events between discovery and impact
Among the various events on offer, Morning organises online talks known as Les Experts. These gatherings - open to all members - set out to explore specific themes, tied to particular sectors or professions. Each webinar is hosted by a Morning member. For one hour, the speaker addresses the subject of their choice: media communications, environmental impact, personal branding, e-commerce… The webinar themes cut across the board.
One-off special episodes are also organised to encourage sharing around HR themes. Among the angles explored, a session on the theme “Does kindness have a place at work?” was held in March 2021. This debate was led by Laurence Walter, an expert and practitioner in positive psychology at Art of Shift, members of the Artois space.

"In-person" events are also on offer across the various Morning spaces. Among the themes presented, a good deal of room is given to subjects tied to the environmental and social commitment of businesses. So Laura Vandenbosch, (manager of the Cléry space) organises - jointly with Article 1, an organisation specialising in the professional integration of young people that promotes equal opportunities - a breakfast on the theme of impact. This moment of sharing and exchange – open to all members – takes place on the second Tuesday of every month.

Quarterly cycles of talks
Each quarter, Morning organises a week-long cycle of talks on a specific theme. Both members and outside figures and companies are invited to come and share their experience. On the occasion of the Extra-ordinary week, wheelchair tennis champion Pauline Déroulède came to present her journey in the Grand Salon of the Concorde space for a talk. A moment of sharing and intense emotion as a group.
The Impact week featured a meeting with Thierry Marx on the occasion of the “Get involved!” evening in the former République space. He is today the most high-profile chef around and devotes part of his work to helping young people find their way!

In March 2022, Morning Cléry hosted an event to shine a light on the B-Corp label. This label, which certifies businesses with a positive social and environmental impact, is awarded by the association B-Lab. The event was notably an opportunity to hear from certified members - such as Too Good To Go - who came to share their experience.
