A whole story in three acts
On 19 October 2018, 30 people moved in at Morning République. The Too Good To Go France team set down their belongings and their values at Morning for the first time! Two years later, there are around a hundred of them in a fully personalised, independent office fitted out by us on rue Duhesme. At every stage of its growth, Too Good To Go put all the Morning team's skills to the test to create their ideal workspace. A look back at a story of trust, exchange, expertise and flexibility.
ACT I: The simplicity of coworking
When the Too Good To Go team moved in at Morning République, there were 30 of them. They were looking for offices to welcome their talent in a setting that was pleasant, well-designed and relaxed but also practical, so as not to get bogged down with the usual day-to-day management issues by taking advantage of logistical services. As Mélanie, office manager at Too Good To Go, points out, « The turnkey office concept was really simple and practical for us. When a company is starting out, it doesn't have the means to buy furniture in particular, so arriving at Morning with everything ready, and all the services on hand, is a real plus and one less thing to worry about! »

The team then occupied a large office and enjoyed all the services of our Morning République space: a coffee, access to meeting rooms, a kitchen, a games room, a gym, another room for relaxing, event spaces and lounge areas. What's more, our Morning Managers took care of the slightest hitch in the day-to-day running of the offices. The company's growth picked up pace, the team grew, and so did its needs. Too Good To Go is, above all, a movement, a culture and strong shared values. The team is proud of its values and increasingly wished to assert them. The next stage of their growth was clear: to develop and stamp their company culture and their own DNA.

ACT II: Developing company culture at Too Good To Go
With recruitment going full steam ahead, the team found itself cramped in their République office. Too Good To Go then called on Morning's expertise for an unprecedented request: to design a private, personalised office that would accommodate the team while adapting to their needs. And all this without leaving Morning. No matter — Morning tests, tries and learns alongside its partners. Mélanie then worked with our team of design and fit-out experts to create a bespoke office in line with the DNA, the needs and the wishes of the Too Good To Go team.

The result: on 1 May, the team left its standard office at Morning République for a private, fully personalised floor in our Morning Richelieu space. The address is central, in the very heart of the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, in a brand-new space. « The change was intense. We got a whole floor to accommodate the entire team. And being able to put up our decoration, our colours, our logo all over the place created a real surprise and huge enthusiasm when the team discovered it. » Mélanie, office manager. The floor is fully personalised in their image: brand guidelines, colours, logo. It comprises "the flat", a bright, open and welcoming space that houses a kitchen area, alcoves for working and a space for talking. "The team holds its meetings, its debates and its talks there" explains Mélanie. Alongside, the teams work in a large open space divided into two parts. Everyone also enjoys a project room, a quiet room and two meeting rooms. The team also benefits from the shared spaces with the other Morning members:« The advantage of having a private space within a Morning space is interesting in terms of the dual use: we have our private offices, our space with our DNA, but also this space for meeting other companies. Being able to share with other firms and meet new people is something we appreciate enormously. » Mélanie, office manager
ACT III: Complete independence for Too Good To Go's offices!
In December 2019, Too Good To Go brought together more than 80 people and once again challenged the Morning teams to rise to a new task: to find and fit out their offices in an independent building. Farewell to renting at Morning, hello to the Too Good To Go Headquarters. The situation changed "slightly": the team had to feel completely at home. The size of the workforce was not yet settled, but the office would need to be large enough to calmly anticipate the arrival of new talent. But above all, the workspace had to adapt perfectly to the team's ways of working. « The team is the main aspect of our DNA; the members need to have the spaces they need to work, share, relax, have fun or concentrate. » Mélanie, office managerAn important detail: the teams don't have the same needs. Some need calm and to avoid any distraction, while others sometimes need lively spaces to welcome their clients. So there needed to be as many different spaces as there are moments in a good working day: relaxing, resting, concentrating, meeting, sharing. Mélanie and Lucie Basch, founder of Too Good To Go, worked with both our fit-out teams and our sales team to draw up their specifications. The list of requests was generous:
- A large office to accommodate the whole growing team.
- Some phone boxes and alcoves to stay focused.
- Large offices for the various teams.
- Around ten meeting rooms.
- A modular flexible space.
- A gym, a games room, a nap room
- A kitchen and a bar in the team's colours
- A stage for meetings
- A sizeable bike park
- All of it with second-hand equipment, from former offices.
All the skills and expertise of the Morning team were then mobilised for this HQ. A month later, the sales team unearthed a 1,500 sq m space in the very heart of the 18th arrondissement on rue Duhesme. The building is modern; it includes a large terrace, a glass roof and a very fine space to occupy.
Our fit-out team, our architects, our decorators and our cabinetmakers set to work with their muscly arms. Six weeks later, the partitions were up, the furniture was delivered, the parquet was laid, the plants were watered, the walls were repainted and the office was decorated. The Too Good To Go team moved into its new offices. The space reflects their mission and their values. You'll find their colours, their brand guidelines, their logo and, above all, their ways of working. The offices are as diverse as the team. Mission accomplished: the team is settled in, at home.
