2021 is over. It was a pretty exceptional year despite the eventful, Covid-hit backdrop. A big thank you to all our members and partners; all of this is thanks to you too! For our part, we're taking a moment to draw up a little month-by-month review so we don't forget anything, because when all is said and done this year was rather full. Get your glasses out, mind your eyes!
January: Morning Dussoubs opens
Let's start at the very beginning: the opening of the independent offices Morning Dussoubs, at 46 rue Dussoubs in the 2nd arrondissement. The lucky tenant company is none other than Totem! You can find their office shops in some of our Morning spaces.
Also worth noting is the return of Les Experts par Morning, a much-awaited season two. Les Experts is our series of webinars and in-person sessions hosted by our coworkers.
Season 2 of Les Experts Morning was around fifty episodes on sales, HR, finance and marketing topics... The perfect chance to take a break and pick up new skills.
February: Swile moves in at Morning Sentier
In February, it's Swile moving in at Morning Sentier. Our design team gave it their all to adapt the roughly 2,000m2 to their vision of work and their company culture. The icing on the cake: the day-to-day services are managed entirely by Morning. More fine work, and Loïc Soubeyrand is the first to agree!
In October 2020 we won ADEME's " Projet Perfecto " call for projects, to create a 100% eco-designed furniture range… In February 2021 we launch our series " Eco-designed, is it possible? ", in which four members of the design team get together to retrace the behind-the-scenes of creating our eco-designed offices, and discuss feasibility and know-how.
March: Welcoming students and the arrival of YouSchool
A little gesture for students! After a rather tricky start to the year for them, we decided to open the doors of Morning Marcadet to them for 1 month. On our members' recommendation, they enjoy a quiet place to study and work on their projects.
Another event: the arrival of YouSchool in mid-March in the Morning Toudic space. They'll be able to offer their online courses from their 250m2 independent offices designed by our teams!
April : Morning Concorde under construction
With a view to opening Morning Concorde in the Hôtel de la Marine , all our teams are out in the field! The objective: finish the fit-out on time.
To furnish this brand-new space, our furniture designers and our cabinetmakers dream up and produce a Morning furniture range, the fruit of our very being as Balavoine would say. In particular an eco-designed desk, so as to reduce our impact, but also some magnificent meeting tables.
May: The Week of Trust
In May, it's all for the community! From 17 to 21 May, it's The Week of Trust, to strengthen ties and build tomorrow, with guests such as Rémy Buisine (journalist at Brut), Etienne Klein (philosopher and research director at the Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission), Anne de Forsan (Stories Out) and many others! A week of online talks on the many facets of trust: media, scientific, managerial, technological.
May is also the arrival of Morning on avenue de la Grande Armée: welcome to Morning Argentine, a 900m2 floor designed to accommodate some 130 coworkers.
To round things off in style, our property team, armed with their finest gold pen, signs Morning Cléry. 👉 Head to October to find out more!
June: Morning Concorde is inaugurated
A June unlike any we've ever known… Morning offices housed in the Hôtel de la Marine! A sizeable challenge for a sizeable team. For its inauguration, Morning Concorde opens its doors not only to its new coworkers but also to the President of the Republic! Great names from French history have walked its beautiful parquet floors, Maupassant among them… Fun fact: his study has now become the massage room, a fine reinvention.
25 June: first anniversary of our coffee bars' partnership with 1% for the Planet, a responsible initiative, one more small step to raise our members' awareness.
July: Morning Trocadéro and Morning Pont de l'Alma signed
Gold pen for the month of July! Our property team signs Morning Trocadéro and Morning Pont de l'Alma. The openings are planned for the first half of 2022.
Morning Trocadéro is set in a former private mansion completely refurbished by the architect Axel Shchoenert. A workspace over 8 floors covering 2,600m2 that you'll be able to visit in a few days' time. The big plus? Its rooftop offers an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower!
Morning Pont de l'Alma, on rue Cognacq Jay, a workspace in a unique setting for some 400 coworkers… all that's left is the fit-out!
Editor's note: the signings took place in June but for the sake of fairness we had to fill the July slot.
August: Morning Cléry, Clichy and Montparnasse under way, Saint Augustin is ready
Under construction! Our design teams are kept busy in Clichy, at Cléry, not forgetting Montparnasse. On the HR side, we're preparing for the new season with great care.
The works are finished! Morning Saint Augustin, nestled inside the legendary "le Grand Marnier" private mansion between boulevard Haussmann and boulevard Malesherbes, is all set. A premium coworking space over 6 floors to give you good working days.
September: A rousing return to work
A return to work marked by new arrivals! There we go, more than 20 new talents in the Morning team: sales, design, communication, marketing, finance… A fine crowd to develop all our lovely projects.
Thanks to the great work done in August, L'Oréal was able to move into its new offices in Clichy in September. Just like Swile, the L'Oréal teams enjoy the day-to-day services offered by the Morning teams.
Then, as testament to a rather eventful return to work, a sign of a clear resumption of in-person working, we sign yet another new space: Morning République-Boulanger.
October: Morning Cléry opens
The works are finished! Morning Cléry is finally ready, and it's not a coworking space like any other: it's our first workspace to come from eco-design, so-called " eco-sensitive ". Circular economy, sustainable furniture and equipment, bespoke fit-outs are the watchwords.
To take a bit of height and appreciate all this good news, we take on one more floor in the Tour Montparnasse. 51, 52, 53 are the winning numbers for working with your head in the clouds.
Another month where our pens are working well, a new signing and a new space by the name of Morning Penthièvre: 4 floors, a landscaped courtyard, a large lounge, a library… and we'll spare you the rest! Opening planned for early February.
November: Morning République closes
So yes, in November there's the pétanque world championships in Spain, but the event that will stay in people's minds the most is the closing party of Morning République. The beautiful, the grand, the legendary closes its doors at the end of November, and to do it justice we organised a farewell party for it: our members and our teams made the most of it.
Don't worry, the République neighbourhood won't mourn us for long, since Morning République-Boulanger at 22 rue René Boulanger, exactly 260m from the late Morning République, opens its doors in January 2022.
December: The Week of the Extra-Ordinary
An extra start to the month with The Week of the Extra-Ordinary, from 30 November to 3 December, to break out of our habits and dare to do things differently. With the help of the Institut des Futurs Souhaitables, Pauline Déroulède, Chance, and Julia Jean Baptiste, our members had the chance to get away and take that little step sideways to bring fresh ideas to the surface.
As you'll have gathered, our teams didn't get bored this year, what with the new signings, openings, events... The end of 2021 also means 7,000 members at Morning! THANK YOU, we can't wait to see you again and show you all our lovely projects.
