Optimising the flow of buildings: discover the solutions championed by our accelerator.

In October 2023, Morning, Standard Deviation and Nexity renewed their commitment to a more sustainable building sector by launching a new call for projects for the Accelerator. This commitment aims to support young companies in developing their projects through a dedicated support programme.

The purpose of this initiative is to drive sustainable innovation within the building sector, focusing on solutions likely to minimise environmental impact and optimise the use of resources.

For this new season, the Accelerator has chosen to focus on projects relating to energy-efficient renovation, local energy generation, and the recovery of water and waste. To be shortlisted, applicant companies had to put forward solutions aligned with these themes, with the promise for the winning companies of privileged access to greater visibility, to Morning's network and expertise, and to concrete opportunities to put their solutions into practice on a variety of sites.

The second edition of the accelerator saw five exemplary projects delivered by Caeli Energie, AGRID, Lite, WIND my ROOF, and Geosophy, each making a significant contribution to the goal of sustainability in the building sector. Here is a quick overview of these innovative projects and their applications.

AGRID,
Artificial Intelligence in the service of energy efficiency

AGRID transforms the energy management of buildings thanks to its advanced software. By connecting directly to heating and air-conditioning systems, AGRID uses artificial intelligence to carry out automated optimisations, allowing buildings to significantly reduce their energy consumption and their carbon footprint.

Their solution makes it possible to achieve up to 35% savings on energy bills. AGRID has also been recognised by several programmes and institutions for its innovation, including the Investments for the Future Programme (PIA) run by ADEME.

Caeli Energie
Reinventing air conditioning

Caeli Énergie stands out for its revolutionary approach to air conditioning. Offering a low-carbon alternative, their eco-designed solution, made in France, reinvents the way spaces are cooled. Their innovative module uses a fresh-air distribution system based on the "dew point" principle, thereby offering a more sustainable and energy-efficient way to combat the heat.

Their technology relies on indirect adiabatic cooling, which delivers high energy efficiency, reduces environmental impact by avoiding the use of refrigerant fluids and minimises the carbon footprint. Their system consumes significantly less electricity and water than conventional air conditioning, and is designed to increase its energy efficiency as the outdoor temperature rises.

Geosophy
The geo-energy exploration of buildings

Geosophy is accelerating the transition to renewable energy with its software, which is able to identify opportunities to "geo-energise" buildings. In just 2 hours, it carries out opportunity scans and feasibility studies, a process that previously took 2 months. Nexity is preparing to trial this solution on new sites.

Specialising in geo-energy, this company offers renewable heating and cooling solutions by harnessing the constant temperature of the ground. An innovative approach that uses either groundwater via wells, or closed-loop probes, complemented by heat pumps to optimise energy efficiency. They also offer "free cooling" to cool buildings, drawing directly on the temperature of the ground, considerably reducing energy consumption.

Lite
Simplifying energy management

Lite ushers in a new era in energy management with its energy management software - a complete tool that makes it possible to save energy while improving industrial competitiveness. Designed to simplify the monitoring and optimisation of electricity consumption, Lite allows companies of every size to manage their energy consumption more effectively, thereby contributing to sustainable resource management.

Lite focuses on optimising electricity consumption by using data to provide tailored analyses and advice for reducing energy costs. They offer a simple, secure online service, with no installation required, that makes it possible to track and analyse actual electricity consumption. Their approach helps to better understand and manage electricity consumption, with an eye to both economy and ecology.

WIND my ROOF
Local renewable energy

With its WindBox solution, WIND My ROOF offers an innovative system for generating energy locally. Combining a rooftop wind turbine and solar panels, these hybrid modules are designed to be installed on the roofs of buildings, providing a renewable source of energy and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. This technology is currently being trialled by Nexity, underlining its transformative potential.

Their flagship product, the WindBox, combines a rooftop wind turbine and solar panels to provide a local, clean source of energy suited to various types of building such as multi-occupancy housing, public buildings, the commercial sector and industry.

These projects selected by the Morning accelerator are testament to a commitment to innovation in favour of a greener future. They represent important steps towards reducing the environmental impact of the building sector and pave the way for more sustainable, responsible practices.
